Quiet

I've been quiet for the past 10 days. No particular reason. Just not much to say. I will say I'm happy that fall is here. The switch from summer has been frustrating here in Boise. We've gone from hot temps (low 90's) to downright chilly ones (low to mid 50's). What happened to the 60's and low 70's? I think they'll be here next week. I look forward to that. I suppose that's all for now. I've buckled down for a busy several months at work. Therefore, I won't have many interesting things to say. But I'll try to speak up a little more often. 

Snuggiedom

I first mentioned the Snuggie late last year. I thought it was the stupidest item anyone could ever buy. Earlier this summer, I posted this parody that someone had made and uploaded to YouTube. It still makes me laugh every time I see it. This morning, I was watching TV and saw a fairly new Snuggie commercial. Now I'm confused. 

I know people who genuinely like the Snuggie. I also know people who think it is just as ridiculous as I do. I think it brings out strong emotions on both sides. But after seeing this new commercial, I'm thinking I have some newfound respect for the makers of the Snuggie. Take a look. 

It seems like the commercial is so ridiculous, that it must be intentional. Perhaps the Snuggie people said to themselves, "Our product is such a joke, that we might as well make that our marketing strategy." Is there any other way to explain the dumb music, the stupid dancing, and the father you'd like to punch in the face? I'm inclined to believe it's intentionally over the top. If so, I have to give these guys credit. I won't be buying a Snuggie anytime soon...but still. 

Also, I found another parody of the Snuggie commercial. This is part two and it's still pretty funny. 

Southwest Shenanigans Part 2

I swear I'm not being lazy in only posting photos and not writing anything of significance. But I wanted to post some more pictures of my trip to southern Utah. Between the four of us (Ron, Jessie, Jason, and I) there were some cool photos taken. I had to wait for them to send me CD's filled with their photos. So hear you go. 30 Years

Southwest Shenanigans

Ahhh, southern Utah. This was a stellar trip. Jason, Ron, Jessie, and I (we missed you Shelly) canyoneered our way through the Subway in Zion. We wandered through the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon. We slithered through the slot canyons of the Grand Staircase. 

I learned three things on this trip. One...my Jeep, officially named Jasper, is awesome. Two...I love southern Utah. Three...I wish I could see my best friends (Glacier friends) more than a few times a year.
