You gotta love Montana. This (not so) little guy (or girl) was on the loose in Bozeman for 2 days.
It was first spotted downtown (near our station) at 5:30 Friday morning. He crossed Main Street and disappeared for most of that day. It turned up again that night. I went out tracking it with a video camera to get it on the news. (Who knew Bozeman had so many nooks and crannies?) After wandering through thickets, dead end roads, and various trails, I finally got about 15 seconds of shaky video. Then he turned up again Saturday on a big tract of land between Home Depot and Walmart. The police and Fish & Game guys followed him around for a couple hours before finally tranquilizing it and carting it off to the mountains.
I've seen moose before but never in the middle of town. Good times.

Mooses (meeses?) are so big.
It sort of looks like that cop is playing red light green light with the moose.
