...you could go trick or treating without having to worry about sex offenders?
...you had to carve a pumpkin WITHOUT those fancy/schmancy pumpkin carving kits with intricate designs and teeny weensy saws?
I was thinking about those two things today. I've seen all kinds of news stories across the country on how to keep your kids from trick or treating at the homes of sex offenders. Really? I guess it's something to be concerned about but...it didn't used to be like that.
And then...I carved a pumpkin last night without using those kits. It was interesting. It turned out well though. I can't remember the last time I did it.
All in all...a good Halloween. I was busy, of course...but still good.
I had way too many mini Twix bars today.

See I can remember the halloween where my mom checked our candy for razorblades. Wasn't that the scare de jur back in the day?
Why is candy in mini form so hard to resist?
remember when I wanted to carve a pumpkin last year and you wouldn't let me? Hmm...interesting that you did it this year, wouldn't you say? :)
